Attached are this week’s Blue Notes along with several attachments.
- October 8th. There WILL BE BUS SERVICE in the AM and PM on October 8th contrary to the calendar list you may have received.
- October 11th– NO SCHOOL – Columbus Day
- October 20th and 21st – Parent/Teacher Conferences for K-8 students information is enclosed and a hard copy is being sent home today. You can register for an in-person or virtual conference at this link https://tinyurl.com/zlsconf21.
SCHOOL PICK-UP and DISMISSAL SAFETY REMINDERS – Please let any grandparents or others that may be picking up your child know about the pickup procedures which are in the BLUE NOTES. Please cross only at crosswalks.
WINTER SPORTS SIGN-UP- Students in 5th-8th grade should sign up by this Friday for winter basketball & cheerleading. Sign-ups are outside of Miss Hinck’s classroom.
APPLE CIDER DONUTS– Zion PTL and Cody’s Farm have Apple Cider Donuts available for sale. The sale begins today, October 4 – 22. Order forms and money are due on October 22nd. Donuts tentatively will be delivered and ready for pick up on October 29. Top 3 sellers win a Free Tour of Cody’s and a Carving Pumpkin! Prize must be used this year before the farm closing on October 31st.
KIDS HEART CHALLENGE– The Kids Heart Challenge is coming to a close. Our students will be jumping tomorrow at 1:30 p.m. in the parking lot with October 7th as a rain date. We are well on our way towards our goal of $5,000 having raised just over $4,800 to date. There are opportunities for individual, class and school wide prizes.
LITTLE PANTHERS RUN– For all K to 2nd graders, Wednesday, October 6th at 3:15 p.m. at Indian Oaks Park.
OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD- HYGIENE kit supplies are being collected through October 8th. The joy from these shoe boxes and the simple idea of having their own toothbrush! What a blessing you are to these children! You can continue to bring in any supplies at any time .Thank you and may God bless your family as you bless others.
SETTLERS DAY FUN RUN FOR SAMSON THE COMFORT DOG- 5 K Fun Run Fundraiser on Saturday, October 9th at 8:30 a.m. See the flyer attached to the Blue Notes for more information.
PARENT VOLUNTEER PROGRAM (PVP): We are always in need of lunch helpers from 10:50-11:50 a.m. each day. Each family is required to get in 10 hours of volunteer service this year. You can sign up at this link- PVP Volunteer Sign-up Link.
