Blue Notes- October 25th, 2021

Dear Zion Parents:

Thanks to all the parents who came to parent-teacher conferences last week.  We had 94% of our parents (all but 12 parents) participate.  Attached are this week’s Blue Notes along with several attachments.

CALENDAR:

  • October 29th- Blue and White DRESS UP DAY- Come to school dressed as your favorite book or movie character.  All costumes must be school appropriate (no weapons, blood or full face costume masks).  Students must still wear approved masks (not mesh) covering their mouth and nose.

OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD- CLOTHING AND TOYS are being collected through October 29th.  This includes: shirts, pants, skirts, dresses, underwear, socks, flip flops, sunglasses, small stuffed animals/dolls, toy truck or boat, soccer ball (deflated with small pump), small instrument like harmonica or recorder and playing cards.  Thank you and may God bless your family as you bless others.

PARENT VOLUNTEER PROGRAM (PVP):   We are always in need of lunch helpers from 10:50-11:50 a.m. each day.   Each family is required to get in 10 hours of volunteer service this year.  You can sign up at this link- PVP Volunteer Sign-up Link.

CHURCH/SCHOOL WORK DAY- The church and school have a lot of inside and outside work that needs to be done before winter.  A work day has been scheduled for this Saturday, Oct. 30th from 9 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.  Please stop by and help out and earn some volunteer hours towards your 10 required hours this Saturday.

JV OR ASSISTANT BOY BASKETBALL COACH NEEDED:  We are in need of a boys and girls JV basketball coach for our 5th-6th graders.  If you are interested in being considered please email our Athletic Director, Payton Black at payton.spriling@zionschool.net.  Practices will be starting the first week in November and we still need coaches.

In Christ,

Dr. Dan Bertrand and Mrs. Merri-lynne Seaburg
