Dear Zion Parents:
Thanks to all the parents who bought Spirit wear, pies and donuts from our PTL recently. The PTL made a significant amount of money which will be used to support our school. Thanks to the volunteers who helped at Saturday’s Church/School Work Day and spread the mulch around our playground and spruced up our school and grounds.
Attached are this week’s Blue Notes along with the updated first quarter Honor Roll list and information about this year’s Love Project.
PRINCIPAL CALL COMMITTEE– As you may have heard a Principal Call Committee has been formed to issue a “call” for a new principal for next year. We have been Blessed to serve as your principals for the past 5 1/2 years. We were first asked to come out of retirement (after nearly 50 years combined experience in administration) to serve as principal by Pastor Borhardt in an interim capacity when the Board could not find a replacement when Mrs. Smith moved to St. Louis. After two years of “called” searches for a principal without finding a satisfactory candidate, the Board of Christian Education asked us to stay on removing our “interim” status which we agreed to do for three years. Our three year period of time has expired. We have not resigned but just want the Board to once again try and find a permanent replacement for the position. We ask for your prayers that things will work out for the best for all involved.
