Dear Zion Parents:
Attached are this week’s Blue Notes along with several attachments.
Fall MAP scores should be arriving home shortly through your child if they haven’t already. These are the results from the test taken in early September. We were late getting them back to the teachers to distribute. Typically a child’s score drops a little from spring to fall due to the summer gap. Our next testing will be right after Christmas Break.
REMINDERS: Please remind your child in the morning to bring a water bottle and a couple of masks to school each day.

- Nov. 17th- 2nd quarter mid-terms
- Nov. 22nd & 23rd- NOTE CHANGE- There will be AM and PM bus service on Monday and Tuesday, Nov. 22nd & 23rd.
- Nov. 24th-26th- NO SCHOOL – Thanksgiving Holiday Break
GREETING CARD FUNDRAISER- Cards For a Cause– Zion’s 8th grade class is having a greeting card fundraiser to raise money to help subsidize the cost of their 8th grade trip to Springfield! They have 5 different greeting card boxes for you to choose from, with each box containing (at least) 30 handmade greeting cards and coordinating envelopes for only $30. These beautiful, boutique-quality cards are an incredible value at only $1 each. Their quality easily compares with the $5-$7 cards you find in gift shops and retail stores! Plus, our school will keep 43% from each box sold! We appreciate your support! You can order directly through an 8th grader or fill out the sale form that is attached. Cards are on sale until November 19th.
PARENT VOLUNTEER PROGRAM (PVP): This week we have no one signed up to help at lunch for the rest of the week from 10:50-11:50 a.m. each day. Each family is required to get in 10 hours of volunteer service this year. You can sign up at this link- PVP Volunteer Sign-up Link.

HIGH SCHOOL INFO
OPEN GYM– The High School Open Gym for kids grades 2nd-8th grade for Nov. 14th will be from 3:00-4:30 (not 4:00-5:30 p.m. as usual).
