Dear Zion Parents:
Attached are this week’s Blue Notes along with several attachments (Love Project, Candy Grams and Sampson T-shirts).
COVID Reminders: We have had an increased number of COVID cases at school. Masks (covering the mouth and nose) are required at school and all school related events. With families gathering over the holidays, please remember to not send your child to school if they have any symptoms of COVID -19. If we have to send them home with COVID like symptoms then they can not return until they are symptom free and have a negative test result.
Our students are practicing for our Christmas programs that are coming up. We hope you and your family members plan on attending. Masks are required.

- Thursday, Dec. 2nd- 8th graders take high school PSAT placement test
- Wednesday, Dec. 8th- K-4 Christmas program at 10 a.m. and 6:30 p.m.
- Friday, Dec. 10th- PJ’s for PTL
- Monday, Dec. 13th- 5-8 Christmas Program at 10 a.m. and 6:30 p.m.
RANDOM ACTS OF KINDNESS COUNTDOWN TO CHRISTMAS– The Zion Student Council – Countdown to Christmas Break with a canned food drive for the M.O.R.E. Center. Students may bring in a can of food for donation to begin our first day of the countdown. See the attached calendar.
PARENT VOLUNTEER PROGRAM (PVP): This week we have no one signed up to help at lunch on Wednesday and still need others each day. Lunch helpers schedule is 10:50-11:50 a.m. each day. Each family is required to get in 10 hours of volunteer service this year. We also have basketball game volunteer opportunities in the evenings. FREE HOLIDAY MEALS– The M.O.R.E. Food Pantry will be handing out free holiday meals to anyone. There is no paperwork involved, no qualifying factors or pre-signup needed. Christmas meals will be available for pickup at the following dates and times. Dec. 15 from 4-6:30 pm, Dec. 16th from 9 am – noon, Dec. 22 from 4-6:30 pm. and Dec. 23 from 9:00 am to noon. We want to thank the M.O.R.E food pantry for this wonderful opportunity to our community.
